Alexx Ekubo born 10th April 1986 is an Actor, Humanitarian, Compere, Filmmaker & Entertainer.

The 6’2” Actor is a Law graduate from the University of Calabar, Cross River State. & also has a Diploma in Mass Communication from Calabar Polytechnic, Cross River State, Nigeria.

Early Life

​Born in Portharcourt, Rivers state, Nigeria, to Jane Ekubo, a fashion designer/business woman and Mr Alex Ekubo, a petroleum marketer. The second of four siblings; Alexx has two sisters & a brother.

He speaks fluent Hausa & Igbo language. Alexx Ekubo was educated at K.Kotun nursery & primary school, Lagos & then Federal Government College Daura, Katsina State, before proceeding to the University of Calabar where he graduated with an L.L.B Law in 2008.

Career & Success

Alexx Ekubo has become a formidable force to reckon with & has successfully carved a niche for himself not just in the movie industry but in the entertainment industry at large.

He has been awarded and recognized by the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for his contribution to the development of Nigeria’s entertainment industry. 2018

He was inducted in the MIPAD/United Nations (Most Influential People Of African Descent) Top 100 under 40 years hall of fame. 2020

He also received a Certificate of Excellence from the Sapio Club SDG (Sustainable Goals Development) for an exemplary contribution to African entertainment & humanitarian effort. 2020.

He was given the Nigerian National Award of Excellence as the “Global Social Giving Actor of the year, for his immense charity works. 2021

He also bagged a Honorary Doctorate Degree in Arts & Culture from the Institut Supérieur de Communication et de Gestion (ISCG UNIVERSITY). 2021
